SEOUL, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - With its first bullet train ready to roll four months later, South Korea dedicated a new railway station in Seoul Thursday to serve as its starting point.
Prime Minister Koh Gun cut the ribbon to open the new station built next to the Japanese colonial-era station in the city center. Transportation Ministry and Seoul city officials were also present at the ceremony.
The five-story station, which sits on 95,200 square meters of land, was built in three and a half years at a cost of 90 billion won (US$75.4 million), city officials said.
