SEOUL, Jan. 1 Asia Pulse - North Korea said Thursday that despite Washington's "hostile" policy, there was no change in its policy to resolve its nuclear crisis through peaceful means.
The North confirmed its policy in its New Year's message issued in the form of a joint editorial carried by its three main newspapers representing the party, military and youth guard - Rodong Sinmun, Josoninmingun and Chongnyonjonwi.
"Consistent is our principled stand to seek a negotiated peaceful solution to the nuclear issue between the DPRK and the U.S," said the editorial, referring to the north's official name, the Democracy People's Republic of Korea.
"But we will always react with the toughest policy to the U.S. hardline policy of totally denying and threatening the dignified idea and system of our policy idea and system of our style," said the editorial, carried by the North's news agency, KCNA.
