Kabul, Hindokosh, 31 December: The governor of Helmand [Province] after a delay issued an order for the prevention of poppy cultivation.

It is reported by a Hindokosh reporter from Helmand Province that the governor of Helmand Province has called the elders of Helmand Province for a meeting and asked them to stop poppy cultivation. He warned that no-one will be allowed to continue poppy cultivation.
