IT WAS statesmanlike of anti-kidnap czar Angelo Reyes to give up his plan to run for senator so he could concentrate in eliminating the kidnap gangs in the country.
Reyes would have been a sure winner in the senatorial race.
But he gave in to the clamor of the Chinese community to remain as head of the National Anti-Kidnapping Task Force.
Don't worry, Angie, the voters won't forget you in 2007. By then, you can already run for senator and voters will make you No. 1 in their list of senatorial candidates.
