These questions continue to swirl round and round the choice of the running mate of presidential contender Raul Roco: Herminio "Hermie" Aquino.
Astute political observers say that Roco's surprise choice is as surprising as his choice of running mate when he went for the presidency in 1998: Irene "Inday" Santiago, a civic leader and political neophyte.
Though Aquino is no political neophyte, he's not a national political figure even if he's a member of the famed political Aquino clan of Tarlac. He's an uncle of the late Sen. Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino.
