Even as relief goods continue to pour in for the survivors of the Southern Leyte landslides, trauma experts from the government and private sector have started arriving here to help the victims get over their ordeal.

At least eight psychologists, two from University of the Philippines-Cebu and five from the Good Shepherd nuns in Manila, arrived to conduct psychiatric treatment on the survivors of the tragedy that hit the towns of Liloan, San Francisco and San Ricardo in Panaon Island last week.

At the Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council meeting on Sunday, officials from the Philippine National Red Cross told the PDCC that they have already sent to the evacuation centers two teams from the PNRC's Critical Incidence Stress Debriefing (CISD) to assist ...
