THERE HAS BEEN a continuing barrage of propaganda in favour of Australia aiming for a higher population figure than that which current demographic trends suggest will be the case. Will there be 25 or 30 million Australians in 2030? Should we aim for 40 million by 2050? If so, how can we achieve that?
