ERIN BURNETT, CNBC ANCHOR: And we are here. We are watching the Dow right now. It is up 20 points. We told you we had to get up 33.74 to hit the all-time high.
MARK HAINES, CNBC ANCHOR: Where is Art going?
BURNETT: Art! Art! Don`t go anywhere!
HAINES: Don`t go anywhere, Art.
BURNETT: Art Cashin trying to run away from us here.
HAINES: I`m hoping you can slide in between us.
ARTHUR CASHIN, HEAD FLOOR TRADER, UBS FINANCIAL SERVICES: OK.
BURNETT: Art, what do you think?
CASHIN: Well, I think we are going to take another try at it. We have got all the media support we can use. And everybody is very excited about it. It really is not an overwhelming yardstick. It is like you ran three miles and now you get to run three miles and 10 more yards. But it is a significant thing in most people`s minds. It may even have some political influence if we get there. So everybody is waiting to see if we can pull it off. Eleven-seven-fifty is the intraday high and 11,722 for the closing.
HAINES: Here is a tricky question, Art. And I know you are not a technical analyst. Maybe we need a technician. But what if we close above the old closing high but don`t trade above the old intraday high? We really haven`t punched into record territory.
CASHIN: That would be correct. We would be -- but if...
