ACCORDING to Jamie Aditya, his career is based on good luck and being in the right place at the right time.
The popular Australian/Indonesian MTV host leaves out another important element - chutzpah.
After playing in various bands - from blues to rock to folk and country - the 32-year-old was in Bali visiting his parents.
Fellow Australian/Indonesian MTV VJ Nadya Hutagalung was doing a show there and Jamie talked himself backstage by claiming to be her cousin.
"I got backstage," he says, "and I approached a couple of the MTV guys. They said: `Where's your film? You need a film.' So I rushed out and ran up to a Japanese couple, who were completely dumbfounded when I asked to borrow their video camera for 10 minutes.
