Nine Sanskrit scholars get honorary DLitt.

PATNA: Nine distinguished Sanskrit scholars, including four from Bihar, have recently been awarded Honoris Causa degree of D.Litt (Vidya Vachaspati) by the order of the chancellor of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga University on the recommendation of vice-chancellor of the university, Acharya Kishore Kunal.

Scholars from Bihar include Acharya Janaki Ballabh Shastri, an eminent Hindi poet and writer, Vishwanath Prasad Verma, former head of the department of political science, Patna University, Kashi Nath Mishra, former vice-chancellor of KSD Sanskrit University, and Pundit Shobha Kant Jaideo.
