MIFF 2003 generates US$519m worth of sales, says Abdul Kadir.

THE 9th Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) held in March generated sales of US$518.8 million (US$1 = RM3.80), said Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister Datuk Paduka Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir.

The amount is about 30 per cent of Malaysia's total annual furniture export, making the event one of Asia's largest furniture fairs in terms of deals. "This year, MIFF attracted more than 6,000 furniture buyers from over 120 countries.
