Christmas trees were beautifully displayed in many ways at the 13th annual Symphony of Trees reception at Fishermen's Village.

Taking the top honors for best overall tree in the show was "Christmas Around the World," decorated by the staff at the Good Shepherd Day School in Punta Gorda. The best traditional tree, "God's Little Angels," was created by the students at St. Charles Borremeo Catholic School in Port Charlotte. Delightful little angels covered the tree.

The most creative tree award, "Naturally Florida," went to the Punta Gorda Woman's Club. A fence post served as the trunk of the tree, and dowels wrapped in Spanish …
