(SGT-HCMC) Tender for the project to build Can Tho suspension bridge was opened yesterday with the participation of three Japanese consortiums.

The three consortiums were shortlisted in mid-September, said Le Long Dinh, general director of the My Thuan Project Management Unit, which is the owner of the bridge project.

Shimizu-MHI offers a bidding price of 25.29 billion yen plus (US$235 million), Sumitomo-Mitsui-JFE 25.52 billion yen (US$237 million), and Taisei-Kajima-Nippon Steel 24.09 billion yen (US$223 million).
