Melton Mowbray Townswomen's Guild has reluctantly taken a decision to close their guild in the new year because of falling numbers and increasing costs. They hope to continue to meet as a social group at Gloucester House.

When a recent make-up demonstration fell through, members took part in a quiz.

Winners were presented with plants, booby prizes were chocolate bars.

A posy was presented to Dorothy Marvel, celebrating her golden wedding anniversary.

Guild members recently organised a coffee morning at the TocH Rooms, raising GBP136 for the charity Cancer Research UK.
