PARRISH -- The Manatee County School Board needs to build another elementary school north of the Manatee River in the next four years, School Board member Barbara Harvey told members of the Parrish Civic Association on Tuesday.
When elementary school C opens on Erie Road in August, it will have only 100 spots open for new students.
"As the area continues to develop, we will have to build schools at a faster rate than is on that sheet," Harvey said, referring to a handout outlining the half-cent sales tax proposal.
