CNET Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNET) today announced the appointment of Betsey Nelson and Jarl Mohn to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Betsey Nelson has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary of Macromedia since November 1997. Ms. Nelson joined Macromedia in 1996 and is responsible for leading the company's administrative functions, including finance, human resources, legal, mergers and acquisitions, and information technology. Prior to joining Macromedia, she spent eight years at Hewlett-Packard, where she held a variety of positions in both finance and corporate development. Prior to that, she was a consultant with Robert Nathan Associates, an international economic consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. Ms. Nelson will serve as a member of CNET Networks' Audit Committee.
Jarl Mohn, also know as Lee Masters, was the founding president of Liberty Digital, a publicly traded subsidiary of Liberty Media Group, involved in interactive television, cable television networks and Internet enterprises, and served as its Chief Executive Officer from June 1999 to March 2002. Prior to founding Liberty Digital, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of E! Entertainment Television. From 1986 to 1989, Mr. Mohn was Executive Vice President and General Manager of MTV and VH1. He began his professional life with a 20-year career in radio. Mr. Mohn has served on the boards of E.W. Scripps Company, The Game Show Network, DMX Music, ARTISTdirect, Inc., Liberty Digital, and LodgeNet ...
