Lab results released yesterday by the Center for Disease Control found most flu shots offered in Taiwan had an 80 percent success rate against the A Fujian virus.
The vaccines available in Taiwan are designed to prevent A Panama flu. They were nearly out of stock after the first suspected case of the A Fujian strain, a variant of the A Panama strain, was reported recently.
