Roller skiing has long been recognized as one of the best ways to get in shape for skiing or stay in shape during the off season. Muscle memory and ski specific strength are best maintained or developed by using techniques and equipment that most accurately simulates on-snow skiing. Roller skis most aptly fill this need. In recent years roller ski manufacturers have begun to develop products that take skiers off the pavement and allow them to use bike paths, hiking trails and dirt roads--surfaces that simply would not allow a small wheeled roller ski to function. V2 AERO
The V2 Aero has become one of the most popular off-road roller skis on the market. Its pneumatic tires, though slightly heavier than conventional roller ski wheels, give it the versatility to tackle road and trail surfaces unthinkable with conventional roller skis. The Aero Skate ski (Aero S) has a very short shaft which makes the ski lighter and easier to turn.
