Cocaine users in substance abuse treatment have different patterns of use, according to an article published in a recent issue of the American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse.
Researchers from the University of California at San Diego and Brown University in Providence, R.I., say that knowledge of these patterns -- which differentiate users by the amount of drug used, the route of administration, and even the setting where drug use takes place -- may help to tailor treatment to clients' individual needs.
