A High Court judge yesterday ordered the government to pay the Society for Protection of the Harbour full costs for the group's victory in the legal battle over the Wan Chai reclamation project.

Madam Justice Carlye Chu Fun-ling ordered the costs be calculated on a so-called " indemnity basis", according to the society's wishes, because the proceedings were brought in the public interest. The ruling means that full costs are likely to go to the society.
