SCHEMING TO DAYLIGHT: The players continue to work hard for coach Dave McGinnis, and the staff is capable of producing game plans that work. The Cardinals went to a one-back set against the Rams, using three receivers to spread out the defense. That kept the Rams from bringing a safety closer to the line of scrimmage and allowed the Cardinals more room to run. It worked--RB Marcel Shipp ran for 95 yards, and the team had 166. Shipp is likely to remain as starter, but he probably will split time with Emmitt Smith, who will return this week.
