YOUNG TURKS: The defense continues to make incremental progress, thanks in large part to the contributions of rookies, particularly starting CB Charles Tillman and LB Lance Briggs. Tillman's continued development seems to have finally solved a longstanding problem at cornerback.... A team can win with an offense that doesn't make many plays if it gets great defensive and special teams play.
