Prima Toys has launched a handcrafted plastic black doll named MissDela, named after former president Nelson Mandela. The doll, which is targeted at "everybody," was created by a South African producer and is currently been distributed to all leading toy stores and supermarkets. Said Prima Toys managing director Joey Diamond: "It's hard to imagine that before the end of apartheid, black dolls were actually forbidden by the government."
