Harllee Middle School's Garden of Pride.(B SECTION)

Thanks to master gardner Brenda George, Harllee Middle School's unused property has been turned into the "Garden of Pride."

George will use the community garden to teach students the importance of plants to our survival.

The students are learning about plant classification, botany, plant nutrition, soil types, soil testing and improvement and the effect of gravity on plants.

The students are becoming more aware of nature. They are discovering the joy of working with their hands to reap their own crops.

Families in the community can share that joy. The public is invited to use the garden. Several churches are also participating in the …
