VITAMINS, minerals and herbals are becoming part of many people's lives. They spend hundreds, even thousands (for imported items) of pesos on such products every year.
Food supplements are regularly marketed-to aid in the cure of cancer, a magical way to lose weight or to provide many extra special benefits.
With the wide array of vitamins, minerals and herbal products in the market today, how do ordinary consumers choose what vitamin is right for their daily needs? How do they know a product's side effects, if any?
