ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Rite Aid's top brass rallied its troops here early this week, laying out a four-point EBITDA improvement plan that involves realizing the chain's pharmacy sales goals, building on its front-end success, controlling costs and providing exemplary customer service.

The chain also introduced two new pharmacy initiatives--which will be kicked off this fall--a new pharmacy system, a Christmas merchandising and marketing lineup and a digital printing solution for its photo departments. However, the chain declined to disclose further details at this time.
