WASHINGTON -- President Bush urged drug makers to voice their support for a Medicare drug benefit and said he believes that legislation could be passed this year.
Speaking at a meeting of the Biotechnology Industry on Monday, Bush stressed that, under his plan for Medicare reform, the government would not decide what medications to cover--the choice would lie in the hands of seniors.
