CANADIAN NICKEL CO BASED IN INDONESIA SAYS OUTLOOK PROMISING.
MAKASSAR, S Sulawesi, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - Canadian nickel mining company PT INCO will meet its production target of 143 million pounds of nickel this year, the company's spokesman said.
"We are optimistic that we will reach our production target this year because the nickel price on the world market is encouraging," H. Ruslan Muhadi, PT INCO's chief spokesman, said.
The price of PT INCO's nickel in the international market now reached US$4.06/lb, he said. The four-dollar level is relatively high compared with that in the past few years. A few years ago, the nickel price fell to US$1.2/lb.
