SEOUL, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's annual inflation rate as of November was 3.6 per cent, the National Statistical Office (NSO) said today.
The NSO also reported that consumer prices edged down 0.2 per cent last month because agricultural and fruit produce shipments increased compared to the previous month, though on-year rates were up by 3.4 per cent.
The latest numbers raise the possibility that the government's 3 per cent target range for inflation this year could be met. Consumer prices moved up by 0.5 per cent in August and 0.9 per cent in September, though prices dipped 0.1 per cent in October.
