TAIPEI, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - Taiwan will continue to do its utmost in seeking to sign free trade agreements with its trading partners, a trade official said Saturday.
Liang Kuo-hsin, deputy director-general of the Bureau of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) , said that bilateral and regional free trade agreements have become the trend following the collapse of the World Trade Organization's Cancun talks in mid-September in Mexico.
The MOEA will do whatever it can to negotiate with Taiwan's trading partners for the signing of free trade agreements in order to avoid the country being marginalized, Liang stressed.
