SEOUL, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's listed companies are increasingly adopting codes of ethical management amid growing social concerns about corrupt relationships between business and political circles, according to a survey.
The survey, conducted by the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), the nation's biggest business lobbying group, found that 59.9 per cent of the 309 polled listed companies are now operating under such codes.
About 86.6 per cent of the firms embracing ethical management are affiliates of the country's top 30 business conglomerates, compared with 76 per cent a year ago, the survey said. The figure is close to the level of advanced countries, according to the FKI.
