Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf said his country will agree to resume air links with India at forthcoming talks in New Delhi, the latest sign of thawing relations between the nuclear rivals.

In a speech at a youth conference, Musharraf said Pakistan would make the agreement at the two-day talks as a gesture of goodwill at a time when both countries appear to be taking significant steps to reverse a major standoff.

"Pakistan is sincere in its efforts for peace in the region," Musharraf said, according the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan.
