UAE's President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan on Sunday issued an Emiri Decree on the appointment of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Deputy Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and authorizes him to assume the position of Crown Prince once the position falls vacant. It states that Sheikh Zayed has issued the decree after reviewing Law No.1 of 1974 regarding the re-organization of the Government bodies of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments, WAM reported.

Born in 1961, Sheikh Mohammed has been the UAE Armed Forces Chief of Staff since January 1993 and was promoted to the rank of Lt. General on January 24, 1994. Sheikh …
