THE PHILIPPINE Pyrotechnic Manufacturers and Dealers Association Inc. (PPMDAI), is warning the public on the proliferation of cheap yet illegally produced pyrotechnic materials which could prove hazardous.

PPMDAI president Celso Cruz asked the public not to buy firecrackers made by unlicensed manufacturers to avoid accidental explosions and injuries during the Christmas and New Year revelries.
