AS the stars of the show take a two-day wait, the duffers in the lower brackets get the ball rolling starting today in the 54th Fil-Am Invitational tournament at the Baguio Country Club and Camp John Hay courses in Baguio.
Teams in flights C, D, E and F in both the Fil and Am divisions, making up half of the field of 147, troop to the two adjacent venues and set off hostilities in the six-day meet once recognized as the world's biggest tournament by the Guinness Book of Records.
Each squad is allowed to field five players with the best four under the Stableford system of scoring counting for the round.
