The nation's agricultural productivity has declined significantly, with most major crops posting the worst harvests in the last 20 years, a joint study by the country's leading agricultural research institutes showed yesterday. According to the report by the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service and the Korea Rural Economic Institute, both under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, this year saw an especially poor harvest because bad weather was added to the reduced size of land under cultivation.
