Ransdorf eyeing EP, party leadership.

PRAGUE, Nov 28 (CTK) - Miloslav Ransdorf, the deputy chairman of the Communists (KSCM) and a member of the Chamber of Deputies, is ready to become not only a member of the European Parliament, but also the chairman of the party, Ransdorf told CTK today.

He wants to run for the latter post at the party national conference in May. Ransdorf said that he preferred this position.

"For me, the party is priority. I don't intend to give up the effort at influencing its profile decisively," Ransdorf told CTK.
