PUERTO PRINCESA CITY-Albert Primero exploited the absence of the battle-grizzled national riders to conquer the massed start phase of the 1st Air21 Puerto Princesa Cycling Challenge yesterday.

The PLDT-NDD team captain in the Tour Pilipinas last summer familiarized the 160-kilometer out-and-back course on the way out and rode strategically on the way back to dominate the first leg of the two-day race.
