Nairobi, Kenya (PANA) - The World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) Thursday warned that rabies epidemic in parts of southern Ethiopia is threatening the survival of the endangered Ethiopian Wolf.

In a media communique issued here Thursday, the organisation said at least 30 Ethiopian wolves have died from rabies since the disease broke out in the Bale Mountains National Park at the end of last September. The park is home to some 300 wolves, more than half of the total population in the country.
