Taipei, 27 November: A political-charged referendum bill passed the Legislative Yuan Thursday night [27 November], the opposition parties which command the majority prevailed in most issues, although the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) won some points too.

Lin Chia-lung, spokesman for the Executive Yuan expressed regret over the outcome, saying that the Executive Yuan might request the legislature to reconsider the bill which according to the DPP lawmakers, is rife with conflicting and impractical rules.
