GUANGZHOU, November 27, SinoCast -- China has to date started the trial digital broadcasting of TV signals in 36 cities across the country.

The market for digital TVs is expected to increase from RMB 40 billion to RMB 500 billion by 2015, the year China will digitally broadcast all TV programs around the country, thereby ending the life of analog TVs, the Ministry of Information Industry said in a statement.

In addition, digital signal receivers will reach 20.5 million units by 2006.
