MUSCAT, Nov 24 Asia Pulse - Ahmed bin Abdul Nabi Macki, Minister of National Economy and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council, said the Omani people will always remember the 18th November which is a landmark in the course of the Omani contemporary history.

In statement, the minister said the Sultanate's celebrations on the 33rd National Day mark the achievements that were made in all sectors and benefited all governorates and regions.

Macki said the national economy since the adoption of the future vision plan in 1996 saw continuous growth as a result of the policies adopted and the surge in oil prices.

The economy's annual growth averaged 5.7 per cent at current prices for 1996-2002. The...
