Your article on ID theft in the October issue was excellent. An individual's driver's license is one of the most obvious sources of a name, Social Security number, date of birth, and address. I counsel my clients to have the state registry change their driver's license number from the Social Security number to a randomly assigned registry number. This is available in Massachusetts and other states.
