The claim: Using a rotating abrasive pad, the Conair Hair Removal System claims to pulverize hair on legs or arms (not the face or anyplace else), leaving no cuts, no irritation, and no pain--just a bit of hair dust that you wipe off. Results are supposed to last "almost two weeks." We paid about $60 for the Conair. Two replacement exfoliating pads cost about $8.
The check: Three panelists familiar with hair-removal devices used the Conair on their legs, following instructions (make sure skin is clean and dry, and move the device in a circular motion using light pressure).
