* Fantasy players were up in arms regarding Buccaneers receiver Keenan McCardell's 57-yard touchdown return after he picked up a fumble by Colts safety Mike Doss, who had intercepted a pass. The official NFL ruling: The touchdown goes to Tampa Bay's defense because McCardell was on defense at the time of the fumble. The rich get richer.

* Forget how well your sleeper receiver performed last week or how high a draft pick you spent on a stud such as Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. Last we checked, most fantasy leagues are played week to week, and matchups always are more important. Live for the moment, baby!

* Speaking of which, a good owner is like an NFL cornerback: He has a short memory, especially after getting toasted.

* Has there been a more useless fantasy touchdown than the 8-yarder Bears back Stanley Pritchett scored in Week 5? Entering the game, Pritchett had three carries in two-plus years with the Bears.
