Randy Moss WR, Vikings
vs.
Lenny Walls CB, Broncos
Although Walls is a first-year starter, he has a better chance of limiting Moss' production than almost any other cornerback because of his size and Denver's scheme. Coordinator Larry Coyer has his corners use press coverage and protects them with linebacker help inside and safety help deep.
Moss is not the quickest receiver, but he might have the best speed, which is why you can't give him a free release. The Packers and 49ers both allowed Moss to get off the line and paid for it--to the tune of a combined 17 receptions for 322 yards and four touchdowns.
At 6-4, 192 pounds, Walls is the only cornerback in the NFL who can look Moss (6-4, 204) in the eye. He is an aggressive, physical corner who is at his best when he presses receivers at the line.
