Honourable Justice O. A. Ayoola (JSC) retired from the Supreme Court of Nigeria on October 23, 2003, having attained the youthfu1 age of 70 years, the mandatory age of retirement, as provided by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He was called to the English Bar at the Lincoln's Inn in 1957 and admitted as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1959.
