The School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley plans to appoint an assistant professor (tenure track) in health economics for Fall 2004. Duties include developing an original research program, teaching graduate courses that apply economics to health and health care issues, and mentoring doctoral students. Faculty in the School of Public Health also have the opportunity to participate in undergraduate education. We prefer candidates who have begun original research programs with the potential to improve health care or public health systems in the United States or abroad.
