The Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs will be UNK's chief academic officer, will lead the integration of academic and student life programs, and will partner with the Chancellor on strategic leadership and everyday management of the campus. The position reports directly to the Chancellor. Reporting to the SVCA & SA are: an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (who is also Dean of Graduate Studies, Research, and Continuing Education), an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Information Technology, four college Deans and the Dean of Libraries, a Dean of Student Life, and other staff offices.
We seek a dynamic and imaginative person for this outstanding academic leadership opportunity. The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
* A strong academic background with an earned doctorate or other terminal degree and a record of excellence in teaching and scholarship suitable for appointment at the rank of Professor.
* Understanding of, and commitment to, the vision, mission, and priorities of a campus centered on excellence in undergraduate, residential education.
