The Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State College System invites nominations and applications for the position of President of Wayne State College, one of three colleges governed by the Board. The President is appointed by the Nebraska State Colleges Board of Trustees and reports to the Executive Director of the system.
Wayne State College is a Master's Comprehensive I state college, offering baccalaureate degrees in a variety of disciplines, as well as the Master of Science in Education, the Master of Business Administration, and the Specialist in Education degrees. The thirty-two undergraduate majors are grouped into four schools: Arts and Humanities, Business and Technology, Education and Counseling, and Natural and Social Sciences. Enrollment has remained relatively stable for the last several years, and in 2002-2003 included approximately 2,700 undergraduate and 600 graduate students.
The college offers outreach programs through an extensive interactive distance-learning network. The college is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
